Ignorance is Bliss

They say ignorance is bliss. If you don’t know about something, you don’t worry about it.

Every day is a battle as we continuously ask ourselves if we’re doing the right thing while we stare at Instagram photos, or what does our future hold as we pose for selfies like this one, or even how do we compare to the guy/girl with 72k followers? We hear these questions asked by our friends too, so we know we’re not alone. And it’s way easier to give advice rather than receive it and actually put the advice into motion.
The other day I received some words of wisdom; “Take it one day at time”. When my mind is settled and I’m not worrying about tomorrow’s shenanigans, I feel content. Although this isn’t the answer, it does bring the perspective that we’re on a long freaking journey until I can tap into that sweet 401k (I hope you’ve been contributing too). In short, growing up is hard, like really hard.
Most of us don’t have everything figured out and that’s perfectly fine. There are things we control and things we don’t. What we can control is how we live each day, like how much you enjoy your job, your living situation, your significant other, or your outlook on life. I said it’s easy to give advice rather than take it, so I’m going to change my outlook on life… I’m as happy as a clam with my job, living situation and my beautiful girlfriend. Some would say that’s enough, but human nature I’m always wanting more.
